Diocese of Worcester

In the Diocese of Worcester we believe that the church exists to serve those who are not - or not yet - its members.

The Diocese of Worcester is a wonderful part of the world and the best thing about it is without doubt its people. The diocese covers an area of 671 square miles and includes the County of Worcestershire, the Metropolitan Borough of Dudley, and a few parishes in northern Gloucestershire, south east Wolverhampton and Sandwell - so we are not short on variety. From the urban north, with its impressive history and cultural mix, to the agricultural south where the rich colours of rural life flavour many people's day to day experience, the Diocese has much to offer to visitor, resident and worshipper alike.

As a Diocese we are committed to mission in every aspect, seeking to bring the good news of God's love in Jesus to all who live in the cities, towns and villages, and to make the gospel relevant to their everyday lives. In putting mission first we are focusing on three priorities:

* The deepening of our prayer
* The renewal of our public worship
* The equipping of people to share their faith
